After many years litigating divorces, I have observed the many benefits for my client and the family of a collaborative divorce as compared to a litigated divorce. I always strive to provide my clients with thoughtful, thorough, supportive, organized, knowledgeable expertise keeping in mind my client's needs and goals.
I was named one of the 10 Best Attorneys in New York by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys. I have focused my practice of law on Matrimonial and Family Law for the last nineteen years, working in Dutchess,Orange County, Putnam, and Ulster Counties. I received my full collaborative divorce and mediation training and have worked as a collaborative divorce attorney for many years. I currently hold the position of Co-Chair for the Executive Committee for the Hudson Valley Collaborative Divorce and Dispute Resolution Association and I am a Fellow with the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. I have handled numerous litigated and non-litigated divorce matters, which have included a wide range of simple to complex issues, including complex legal issues and business assets. I also am a mediator with MH Mediation and a Partner at Lazar Schwartz & Jones LLP.
